Pastor Pike was born in Munich, Germany in 1946, came to this country in 1949 and lived in New Hampshire, New Jersey, and New York City as a child. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1956 where he eventually went to Arizona State University (1967, English). He was in the Peace Corps (Sfax, Tunisia '67-'69) and married his wife Judy in Tunis in 1968. A graduate of Luther Seminary (St. Paul), 1973) his first parish was in Show Low, Arizona (1973-1978). He has been the pastor of Sierra Lutheran since 1978. He and Judy have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. A daughter Abby lives in Kansas City. Bill teaches math at Amphi High School in Tucson, AZ. Tom is in the US Army and stationed at Ft. Huachuca where his wife is the post veterinarian. Jim is serving an ELCA parish in Upland, CA. |
