Faith Stepping Stones
“Every child is our child by virtue of baptism and every adult, again by virtue of baptism, has a Christian parental responsibility to these to children to pass on the faith.” Dick Hardel, Executive Director of the Youth and Family Institute of Augsburg College.
If we at SELC don’t pass on the faith to our children, there soon will be no SELC.
The Faith Stepping Stones Ministry program helps our congregation equip parents to grow in their baptismal covenant with their child. This is done by celebration of each child, gifting the family, and calling the parents back to promises of baptism at crucial milestones in the child’s life.
