Who We Are We are a collective group of Christians from across denominational lines reaching out to one and other to share the love of Jesus with those who feel overlooked and forgotten.Our PurposeTo share the love of Jesus as it is laid out in scripture with the less fortunate " thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself", "Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind." and "the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled."Luke 14:21b-23What We DoA faith based organization established to assist the less fortunate in our community through the use of volunteers who provide a concerned ear and someone to listen and to encourage them to continue striving to get out of the oppressive situation in which they find themselves.Mission StatementThe Potter’s Hand’s Outreach Ministry is a broad-based collaborative faith-based initiative, to assist homeless and low-income people to help themselves.
The basis of the program is a weekly lunch program sharing sustenance along with someone who cares and listens, will pray with the individual, and shares the love of Jesus without reservation. We encourage the individual to reach out and take control of their life through faith and the resources available to them. Potter’s Hand’s Outreach Ministry incrementally will add services until it reaches a facility that provides housing, counseling, daily responsibilities to increase job skills, and personal responsibility in a faith based community.

****************************************************************** Sierra Evangelical Lutheran Church has assisted the Potter’s Hand’s Outreach, by proving the use of our fellowship hall for their monthly hot meal the last two years in December. Other months the hot meal is served at Veterans Memorial Park. Hot food items, serving of the meals and monitory donations have also been provided by individual members of SELC.
